1:1 marketing is the planning, implementation, and measurement of a marketing communications program that specifically targets the individual customer. This is also called a variable data-driven program. This could be based on information about an individual hospital closest to the recipient, or a degree program that would best appeal to a particular person being marketed to.
Next, we’ll print the material, which will be personalized with descriptors from the prospect list, and mail the material to the target market. The material will have a response card that’s backed by a dedicated web site, which we will also design for capturing the response information.
To measure your 1:1 program effectiveness, we recommend that we also design, print and mail a “control” piece of material, which is not based on 1:1 marketing. This could also be your current brochure that is not a 1:1 marketing piece.
Finally, we’ll print and mail both the 1:1 marketing material and the control material at the same time. Then, in a matter of days, we will compare the response rates of each package. Based on national samples, the 1:1 marketing program could be up to 8 times more effective than a non-1:1, static package.
